Important Directory Information
Last update: 03/12/02

FindAnISP.com is a sponsored directory of companies selling ISP services. No representation is made nor should it be assumed that every ISP or every entity claiming to be an ISP is listed in the directory. Each ISP is offered a free period to evaluate whether FindAnISP.com is effective at generating quality signups. If the ISP exhausts the free clickthroughs and chooses not to financially support the directory, their listings are deactivated.

Preferences are given to ISPs that pay FindAnISP.com a verifiable signup referral fee, including listing at the top section of the default city listings, certain enhancements to the listing including sponsored text in the ISP description page and the display of a logo. Since promotion of this directory service costs money, and some ISPs are willing to fund our advertising budget, those ISPs which are not supporting that effort will not necessarily appear in this directory now or in the future.

If you work for an ISP and would like to correct or change your ISP's information, please do a Search by ISP Name from the home page. On that page, you will find a button to submit updates and corrections. Note that this is not an automated update - we always confirm that the submitted information is consistent with the information publicly displayed on the ISPs own web pages.

If you own or manage an ISP in this directory, and you do not agree with our ratings process or comments concerning your ISP, or do not wish to appear in the directory, we will gladly remove the ISP from the directory if you make a request. As soon as we can confirm the request, we will promptly remove all entries from the directory. Please submit such requests to: removals@findanisp.com.

All prices in the directory are based on our Typical Account. Where adjustments have been made to the ISP's published price, a note explaining the adjustment is placed on the page describing the ISP.

While we have worked hard to correctly identify that phone numbers are local to a city, the rules which say whether a phone call is local are extremely complicated. Whether a call is local is frequently determined by which local calling plan you have selected, if your local phone company offers different types of local accounts.

Please ALWAYS call your local phone company's Business Office (don't rely on the operator!) to make certain that a phone call is local before signing up with a new ISP.

In no circumstance will FindAnISP.com be liable for the costs of your long distance phone charges, even if our directory is in error. If you notice that we have phone numbers listed incorrectly under the wrong city or area code, please notify us. We want the directory to be as accurate as possible, but even our authoritative sources sometimes cannot agree on where a phone number is located.
